The African Journal of Laboratory Medicine, the official journal of the African Society for Laboratory Medicine, focuses on the role of the laboratory and its professionals in the clinical and public healthcare sectors, and is specifically based on an African frame of reference. The journal usually publishes one volume and uses a continuous publishing model. That is, articles are published online when ready for publication; Occasionally a second issue is published in the case of special events (e.g. conferences) or when special themes are addressed.
