The SADJ was formerly known as Journal of the Dental Association of South Africa / Tydskrif van die Tandheelkundige Vereniging van Suid–Afrika. Its purpose is to provide a platform for both Scientific publication and for the dissemination of news pertinent to the members of the Association. Essentially the policy is, as far as possible, to publish research and clinical papers submitted by South African Authors although papers from elsewhere will be accepted on occasion. The SADJ is the only accredited dental journal in Southern Africa. The Journal first appeared in 1945 when a group of academics recognised the need for a scientific publication by the professional association. It has been publicised without a break since then. The journal publishes 10 issues a year, March to December. The journal's publication language for both articles and abstracts is English. The journal's abbreviated key title is S. Afr. dent. j.. |
