The SAJS is a general surgical journal that carries research articles and letters, editorials, clinical practice and other surgical articles and personal opinion, South African health–related news, obituaries, general correspondence, and classified advertisements. The journal was started in 1962 and its purpose was to cater for the needs of doctors in the surgical disciplines. The journal is published quarterly, 1 volume comprising 4 issues per annum in April, June, September and December. Its abbreviated title is S. Afr. j. surg. (Online), which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips. |
