Abstract

AMBE, IM. The perspectives of supply chain management in the public sector. JCMAN [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.1, pp.132-149. ISSN 1815-7440.

This article provides a perspective on supply chain management in the public sector. The concept of supply chain management has evoked interest in organisations, including those in the public sector. In spite of the interest and employment of supply chain management in the public sector, little has been done compared with what has been achieved in the private sector, and the concept is not fully understood by many public sector practitioners. The article adopts a theoretical analytical approach and provides a discussion of the differences between supply chain management in the public and private sectors.

Keywords : perspectives; public sector; supply chain management.
