Abstract

In this article a numerical model is developed for the thermal situation of liquid metal flowing in a rectangular isothermal duct. Steady state as well as transient solutions are given for the Nusselt number distribution in the duct. The results obtained from the model are evaluated against experimental results obtained from the literature.
