The one-dimensional torque converter analysis program as developed by Lamprecht [5] has been adapted and applied to a torque converter with known characteristic and geometry. The model was further used as the primary design tool to develop five torque converter elements, all of which were tested on a test bench to determine the performance characteristic thereof The experimental results are compared with the analytical results.
