The African Journal of Gender and Religion (AJGR) seeks to explore the ways in which power operates in gendered relationships and the ways in which this power is determined and promoted by religious and cultural norms. We welcome submissions which draw on a variety of resources available within feminist, queer and masculinity studies as they intersect with religion and culture. The types of article and text accepted for publication include Origional articles, Book reviews, Praxis articles, and Roundtable discussions. Publication language for Articles, Abstracts and Keywords is English The journal is published bi–annually in June and December. Key–Title of the journal is African journal of gender and religion. |

The African Journal of Gender and Religion uses a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY–NC 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication. The journal became OA in 2018. It provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. |
